The New Orleans Saints waived/released 37 players to get down to a 53-man roster yesterday, but as you know, that roster is never set in stone. Saints head coach Dennis Allen said during yesterday’s press conference that you could expect some movement over the next few days. The next few days will be interesting to see just what moves will be made.
NFL teams have until noon today to claim unvested players that have been waived and vested veterans (players with a minimum of 4 accrued seasons) will become free agents immediately and are able to sign with any team. Starting at 11:00 a.m. CT today, teams can begin signing players to their practice squads. Which means the Saints can soon start to sign players that are eligible for their 2024 practice squad, and we have all the updates here.
