The Jaguars fell to the Packers at home, with their former kicker landing the fatal blow.
The Jacksonville Jaguars came up short at EverBank Stadium on Sunday in an exciting but maddening 30-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Former Jaguars and current Packers kicker Brandon McManus was 3 for 3 on his extra points and 3 for 3 on field goals, winning the game on a walk-off 24-yarder over his former employer. While the loss may have placed a major dent in any hopes of a postseason appearance, the injuries from today’s matchup may have been even more impactful moving forward. WR Brian Thomas Jr, Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis, CB Ronald Darby, and LG Ezra Cleveland all left the matchup without returning. More information will be needed on each throughout the following week. Here’s everything you need to know from Jacksonville’s Week 8 defeat at the hands of the Packers.

Game Recap:
Both teams entered the matchup with at least moderately significant absences, but with relative team health. Jacksonville entered the game missing RB Travis Etienne (hamstring). Meanwhile, Green Bay would be without their leading tackler LB Quay Walker (concussion). Jacksonville recently activated Tyson Campbell (Week 7) and Foyesade Oluokun (this week) from Injured Reserve, bringing their defense to its preseason, full-strength form.
1st Quarter
Green Bay began the day on offense, and after picking up a quick first down on two play action boots, the Jaguars defense (Foye Oluokon and Travon Walker) forced two holding penalties. The Green Bay series would end with two Packers incompletions and a punt to Jacksonville. Jacksonville’s offense would start their drive inside of their own 20-yard line and immediately go three-and-out on the series, with Trevor Lawrence getting pressured on second and third down. Of note, LT Cam Robinson, who cleared the concussion protocol on Saturday was on the bench, with LT Walker Little starting. After a 74-yard Logan Cooke punt, pinning the Packers at their own two-yard-line, Green Bay would go three-and-out. Jacksonville’s offense would trade three-and-outs with Green Bay on the following drive and the quarter would end with a 0-0 tie, but with Green Bay driving. (Jaguars 0, Packers 0)
2nd Quarter
After the Jacksonville punt, Green Bay would again begin a drive backed up into their own territory, starting at their own eight-yard line. This time, however, Jacksonville would be unable to slow down the Packers offense, as a gimpy (ankle) Jordan Love would lead them on an 11-play, 76-yard, 7:13 drive that gave all the signs of an eventual touchdown. However, rookie CB Jarrian Jones intercepted Love at the 6-yard line to give the ball back to the offense. This was his first interception of the season. However, as if playing a game of Tag, QB Trevor Lawrence would throw his own interception just two snaps later, while targeting Christian Kirk. Green Bay would score three plays later,...
