Shocker: oddsmakers don’t like the Jaguars’ chances to beat the Eagles in Week 9.
The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) will face the Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) at 4:05 p.m. EST on Sunday, Nov. 3 at Lincoln Financial Field.
The game was previously set for Sunday Night Football but was flexed out for Colts at Vikings despite the storyline of Doug Pederson returning to Philly. Pederson was fired less than three seasons after leading the Eagles to its first and only Super Bowl win in 2017.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Jaguars are 7-point underdogs and the total is 47.5 points.
Several Jaguars players left Sunday’s game with injuries, including Christian Kirk, who is out for the season with a broken collarbone. Trevor Lawrence said after the Week 7 loss that the absence of key players doesn’t change the margin of error for Jacksonville.
“Guys just have to step up, including me. It’s the same every week. Playing quarterback in this league, if you don’t play well, you’re not probably going to have a great chance to win, so it doesn’t really change. It’s any position. You just have to play well. Doesn’t matter who you are playing, you have to play together.
“The team has to stick together, and we can’t be totally dejected by the result today. I do think we’ve come a long way, and we are continuing to come together and become a better team, but we gotta find a way to win next week. All the work is not in vain. We’ve come a long way, and we just have to go find a way to win.”
