Jaguars at 17: The Jaguars have never drafted with the 17th pick.
Notable Picks: Plenty of star players in today’s NFL have been taken using the 17th pick. Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb was taken with the 17th pick in 2020. The Los Angeles Chargers used the 17th pick in 2019 on safety Derwin James. Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke, then with the San Francisco 49ers, used the 17th pick in 2015 on Arik Armstead, who is now in Duval. Kicker Sebastian Janikowski was selected by the Raiders in 2000 with the 17th pick.
Last Year: The New England Patriots used the 17th pick in 2023 on corner Christian Gonzalez. Gonzalez played in just four games last season but recorded 1 pick, 1 sack and 17 total tackles.
