Good Morning Broncos Country!
Good Morning Broncos Country!
Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix was named the Rookie of the Month for October and is now coming off being named the AFC Rookie of the week for his performance vs. the Chiefs. All the hype has been around Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels but the argument can be made that Bo Nix should be the favorite for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Jayden Daniels is currently the odds-on favorite to win the award, but Nix does have the second-best odds. The Broncos rookie is coming off a two-touchdown performance against the Chiefs where he led what would have been the game-winning drive at the end of the game. This is Sunday, he gets a weak Atlanta Falcons defense where he should put together another solid performance.
Meanwhile, Daniels played last night vs. the Eagles and did not play all that well. He did have a late-game garbage time touchdown pass but outside of that, he had a late fourth-quarter interception and struggled to move the ball against Vic Fangio’s Eagles defense.
Nix has to do his part and play well, but he has been trending that way in recent weeks and went toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes this past Sunday. If Nix continues to improve each week and play well, he should be the favorite for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Ending the Broncos missing the postseason streak AND winning OROY would have the vibes high in Mile High. Hopefully, Nix and the Broncos can achieve both things and have things trending the right way moving forward.
