The Denver Broncos have had their ups and downs this season. However, rookie quarterback Bo Nix thinks the best is yet to come.

The Denver Broncos have dropped two straight games to tough AFC foes, but all hope isn’t lost in Broncos Country.
A 5-5 record might not be what fans were hoping for at this juncture. It’s certainly not where the players and coaches wanted to be either. Nevertheless, there are reasons for optimism. The Broncos control their own destiny. They have a good shot at making the playoffs if they can take care of business in the remaining portion of their schedule.
That doesn’t mean they have to win them all, but every game matters. First ahead is this weekend’s battle against the Atlanta Falcons. It can be tough to get over losses like the one against the Kansas City Chiefs, but the Broncos have already put that in the rearview mirror. This week there is only one goal—beating the Falcons—to avoid a dreaded three-game skid.
When asked if he felt the team has their best football ahead of them, rookie quarterback Bo Nix was confident that was the case.
“I think it is. I think we’ve been through a lot of highs and a lot of lows this year already, and I think that we’re very close to turning a corner and getting over the hump. I think we have a young team and we’ve done a lot of growing this year. We have some younger guys that are playing a lot of ball, so that only helps,” stated Nix.
“I definitely think it’s ahead of us. I think we’ve played some good ball so far, but I think the consistency piece is going to continue to grow for us. I think it’s right around the corner.”
Right around the corner starts this Sunday. It’s one of the most important matchups of the season. Make no mistake, the Falcons are a well-coached team that is currently leading the NFC South. Don’t let their loss to the New Orleans Saints fool you. They’re a tough opponent for the Broncos. Their offense has a lot of unique weapons, and their defense has been pretty good at forcing turnovers and making key plays when it matters.
A win at home against Atlanta would help rejuvenate the team. It’d provide them with a much-needed boost or morale and momentum to finish the regular season on a high note. I truly believe the Broncos’ best football is yet to come. Head Coach Sean Payton is 3-0 against his former division this season and I have no reason to believe he won’t make it a perfect 4-0 Sunday afternoon.
