Take a look at the Seahawks’ eight-player haul for 2024!

The 2024 NFL Draft is finally done, and the Seattle Seahawks came away with a total of eight players. They started with seven picks but were able to turn one of their fourth-round picks into a trade down with the Denver Broncos to get a fifth-round selection.

Seattle kicked off its first draft of the post-Pete Carroll era by taking Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II, considered the best interior defensive lineman in this year’s class. After sitting out Round 2, the Seahawks invested in the trenches in the third round by getting former UConn guard and All-American selection Christian Haynes.

Day 3 was the Seahawks’ busiest day (as expected), and they used their pair of fourth-rounders on UTEP linebacker Tyrice Knight and Michigan tight end AJ Barner. With the added fifth-round pick, Seattle dipped into the cornerback class and took Auburn’s Nehemiah Pritchett, who blazed to a 4.36 second clocking in the 40-yard dash. His former Auburn teammate and fellow cornerback DJ James would get the Seahawks call in the sixth round, where Seattle had a trio of picks after giving up their seventh-rounder in the Broncos trade. On either side of James was a pair of offensive tackles, both of whom project as guards at the professional level. Sataoa Laumea played right guard and right tackle for the Utah Utes, while Division II prospect Michael Jerrell of Findlay was a right tackle.
