Here is your 2024 Denver Broncos Draft Class!

The Denver Broncos have their franchise quarterback and made plenty of other draft picks during the 2024 NFL Draft. Here is your full Broncos’ 2024 draft class!

The Denver Broncos entered the 2024 NFL Draft with a first-round pick for the first time since 2021 and they made the most of it. With that first-round selection, the Broncos got their franchise quarterback in Oregon’s Bo Nix. Shockingly, he was the sixth quarterback taken but was still take with the 12th overall pick.

Head Coach Sean Payton had wanted Bo Nix from the start and even played games of subterfuge with other teams to ensure he would be there when Denver picked in the first round. Nix also had a few great things to say about Payton and the responsibility upon himself to make his run in Denver a good one.

“I’m just excited to be his guy,” Nix said of Payton. “It’s not lightly said. But again, it goes back to I don’t want to just be a draft pick. I want to be able to show my improvements and show that I can do what he picked me to do, and that’s go out there and win games or help win games or do whatever I can to put this team in a better situation.”

That run on quarterbacks led to a run on offensive players overall in that first day. Then the second day rolled around and we saw a huge run on defensive players — especially defensive line and cornerback. Denver did not have a second-round selection, but early in the third-round their patience paid off as Utah edge Jonah Elliss fell right into their laps with the 76th overall selection.

While they had just two picks in the first two days, they had quite a bit more ammunition once day three rolled around with six total picks in the final four rounds. Those six picks didn’t last long, however, as the Broncos packaged a three pick to two pick swap with the Seattle Seahawks to trade up to the 102nd overall spot to take Oregon wide receiver Troy Franklin.

The big knock on Franklin was his frame and size, but after being drafted he told the media that this was one area he planned to knock out before training camp saying, “I really think all parts of my game are pretty sharp. I think I can do everything. Obviously, I know with my frame that I need to put a little bit more weight on and stuff like that. That is going to get fixed.”

With their two fifth-round picks, the Broncos addressed some defensive and special teams depth with Missouri cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine at the 145th overall spot then followed up with a bruiser of a running back in Notre Dame’s Audric Estimé with that 147th overall selection.
