JOK, Jordan Hicks out for Browns but Chargers have Joey Bosa, DJ Chark questionable and a starter out
The Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers finished their Week 9 preparations with their Friday practices where we saw more big changes. On Thursday, the Browns had three starters see their practice participation downgraded but none of those three have game-day designations on Friday’s report.
With LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah out this week and CB Denzel Ward in concussion protocol, the Browns roster is a little limited but Ward surprisingly returned to practice on Friday.
The final injury report has a couple of players out for each team but Los Angeles’ list is longer with Joey Bosa among the interesting defenders who could miss the game:
Both starting linebackers being out against a run first team is concerning but getting Ward potentially back is helpful. It will be interesting what Cleveland’s offensive line looks like with Jedrick Wills available again.
Fulton is Los Angeles’ top cornerback and didn’t practice all week, same with Smartt. Perryman returned to practice limitedly on Friday but is also a defensive starter. Both Bosa and Chark being questionable draws a lot of attention, especially with the flight from Los Angeles to Cleveland.
We could get information on Saturday if either team makes changes to their roster or changes injury status. If not, we will have the final outcome for important players like Ward, Bosa and Perryman 90 minutes before Sunday’s kickoff.
How surprised are you that Ward was able to return to practice this week and could play? What else stands out to you from the final injury reports before Browns vs Chargers?
