A film session breaking down Brandon Coleman’s performance against the New York Giants in his first full-time start.
Brandon Coleman saw his fourth NFL start against the New York Giants last Sunday, but this is the first game of the season where he saw a full-time snap count, with veteran Cornelius Lucas being out due to injury. He primarily went up against the speed rusher Brian Burns, and for the most part, Coleman took care of business against one of the best pass rushers in the NFL this year. Burns came into the game against Washington ranking in the top ten in pressures and top five in sacks; he finished the game with no sacks and just one pressure, which is the lowest pressure count he’s had this season.
I dive into several plays from Coleman’s performance against the Giants in this Trap or Dive film session. While some of Coleman’s technical flaws from previous weeks showed some, his growth from the start of the season to now getting a full-game snap count has been promising.
