According to our weekly survey of Denver Broncos fans, most don’t think this team is a playoff team in 2024.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, I asked Denver Broncos fans if they felt this team was a playoff team in 2024. Coming off a 41-10 beatdown in Baltimore, I expected fans to be a bit disillusioned, but not this much. Just 38% think this team is a playoff team in 2024.
Watching the game, I truly feel like this is one of those classic cases where a team misses a few key opportunities and the game got away from them due to that. If they convert on those early opportunities, then maybe they still lose but its a much closer affair. Young teams will have this happen, but it doesn’t mean they won’t battle back for a playoff run.
Deep down, ya’ll must be thinking the same as our confidence poll didn’t shift much in the negative after that brutal road loss. 87% of us still think the Broncos under Bo Nix are heading in the right direction and that feels pretty damn good after eight years of searching for a franchise quarterback.
Nix trails only Lamar Jackson in the number of explosive 20+ yard plays this season. If he can continue to channel that ability against the Kansas City Chiefs tomorrow, then perhaps the Broncos put that blowout loss behind them very quickly and come out with a shocking win in Week 10.
