How are you feeling about this matchup?
The big takeaway from last week’s Philadelphia Eagles win is that it feels like they’re back.
For the first time in a long time, I’d argue that the Birds deserve the benefit of the doubt.
And so I feel confident predicting they’ll beat the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jalen Hurts should be able to follow up his best game of the season with another strong outing. The Jags have one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. This is a week where it might make more sense than usual to come out throwing and not simply rely on Saquon Barkley since Jacksonville’s comparatively more stout against the run.
Vic Fangio’s defense should be able to prevent the Jags’ offense from having a huge day. Yes, Jacksonville will reportedly have Brian Thomas Jr., Tank Bigsby, and Travis Etienne. But they’re potentially missing two of their three starting wide receivers and as many as three starting offensive linemen. And Trevor Lawrence is prone to turning the ball over.
As long as the Eagles don’t beat themselves, they should win this game and they should do it comfortably. The vibes are high entering the team’s first Kelly Green game this season.
