Here’s everything you need to know about the Eagles’ Week 9 kelly green home game.

The Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) are on a three-game win streak, and are finally back at home in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) for a late-afternoon matchup.

Not only will Philly welcome back Super Bowl-winning head coach Doug Pederson on Sunday, but the team will also be honoring LeSean McCoy as the RB enters the Eagles Hall of Fame. It’s fitting that so many celebrations call for the first kelly green game of the 2024 season.

Aside from the excitement for the off-the-field moments on Sunday evening, the actual game should be electric. This game was originally set for Sunday Night Football, but the NFL flexed the game to an earlier time slot — probably to rein in the exceptional vibes.

Head coach Nick Sirianni is back in the good graces of fans, and as long as they keep sticking to the run game, the locker room will stay loyal, too. Lane Johnson spoke this week about him and some of the other offensive lineman talking to their head coach during the bye week about leaning into the run a bit more. The team is undefeated since then, so whatever adjustments they made seem to have stuck.

It didn’t take the Eagles offense quite as long to get into a rhythm last week against Cincinnati, and once they got hot, things started rolling on both sides of the ball. They won the turnover battle and the explosive play battle, so it’s no surprise they left Ohio with a victory. When this team is playing lights out, there really are few others teams in the NFL that can match the physicality and relentlessness of the Eagles.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.

History Lesson

The Eagles lead the all-time series against the Jaguars, 4-3, and have won the last four in a row. They last faced off back in 2022, with the Eagles winning in Philly, 29-21.

Jaguars’ head coach Doug Pederson may be returning to Philly on the visiting sideline, but he’ll still be entering a stadium that boasts a statue of him from the Super Bowl right outside. Pederson will assuredly take the field to a bunch of cheers — as he should. His job security in Jacksonville seems a bit unstable at the moment, so he deserves to remember...
