Despite getting more negative attention than positive over the course of the 2024 NFL season thus far, the Philadelphia Eagles are playing at a high level right now, winning four games in a row and sporting a record of 6-2 coming into Week 10.

The addition of running back Saquon Barkley has been a game-changer for the offense, even though the team is dealing with an injury to wide receiver A.J. Brown, who is dealing with a knee issue.

Fortunately for Philadelphia, it is keeping up with the division-rival Washington Commanders in the NFC East.

With the Eagles looking like they’ll be postseason-bound, Philadelphia will need to be careful with its roster moves from here on out, and it recently made two, with one standing out more than the other, as it parted with quarterback Will Grier.

Although this isn’t a game-changing move, as Grier wasn’t even the backup to Jalen Hurts, it does hit their depth at the position, which could prove costly if injuries start to pile up.

Kenny Pickett is the backup on the depth chart, followed by Tanner McKee.

With Pickett, the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, having experience as an NFL starter, the Eagles might be OK if Hurts goes down or gets banged up in the second half of the season.
