The latest news on Philadelphia and Washington.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their first official injury report on Monday in advance of their Week 11 home game against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football.

Note that this report is an estimation because the team held a walkthrough in lieu of a normal practice.

The Eagles listed four players under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Darius Slay, and Nakobe Dean.

Smith also missed some time in practice last week due to a hamstring issue. The read here is that the Eagles are especially managing him to help get him to Thursday.

Goedert is listed with an ankle issue, which is new. He previously missed three games due to a hamstring injury. If he can’t play, the Eagles will go back to using Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll as their top two tight ends.

Slay was in and out of the lineup after suffering an ankle injury early against the Dallas Cowboys. Even if he starts this week, he might not be able to make it through the game. Isaiah Rodgers is on standby.

Dean is listed with a groin injury. It’s unclear if he’s in serious jeopardy of missing this week’s game. If he doesn’t play, it’ll be interesting to see who starts next to Zack Baun. Oren Burks? Jeremiah Trotter Jr.? Ben VanSumeren?

The Eagles listed two players under FULL PARTICIPATION: Jordan Mailata and Bryce Huff.

The Eagles officially opened Mailata’s 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve earlier on Monday. Interesting to see him listed as full go from the jump. That development could point to him starting at left tackle against the Commanders on Thursday night. While Fred Johnson has played relatively well in his absence, there’s no question Mailata is a significant upgrade. If Mailata can’t go this week, he should definitely be ready for Week 12.

Huff is still dealing with the wrist injury he purportedly suffered in the Eagles’ Week 9 pregame warmups. Huff’s been limited to just 18 defensive snaps in Philly’s last two games combined.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS INJURY REPORT (MONDAY)

The Commanders listed three players under DNP: starting cornerback Marshon Lattimore, kicker Austin Seibert, and special teams ace/backup linebacker Nick Bellore.

Lattimore didn’t play in Week 10 after the Commanders acquired him near the NFL trade deadline. Seems like he might not be ready for this game, either.

Seibert missed Week 10, forcing Washington to rely on practice squad member Zane Gonzalez. The backup made all of his kicks against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gonzalez might be kicking against the Eagles.

Bellore leads the Commanders in special teams tackles this year with eight. No one else has more than five. A hit to their ST unit if he can’t play.
