Gus Logue is joined by Mia O’Brien to discuss the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 11 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Check out episode 32 of Duval Rundown, hosted by Gus Logue.
Gus was joined by 1010XL’s Mia O’Brien for a live breakdown of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions’ Week 11 matchup, which will feature a 2025 head coach candidate in Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. What makes Johnson so great?
“A big reason why Ben Johnson is at the top of so many lists for head coach candidates is that he revitalized Jared Goff’s career, and was able to listen to Jared Goff and understand what he liked and didn’t like from his time under Sean McVay in Los Angeles. Then, he’s also able to add his own tweaks and his own ideas and be creative in his own right. So especially the work with Jared Goff, but really his work with all the offensive players has been really impressive.
“Yeah, and when you look at Ben Johnson, I think that’s one of the biggest things — the fact that he is able to adapt. He’s able to say, OK, I have a circle peg. Let me put it into a circle hole and not create a square hole because that’s what I want to do. That adaptability is certainly something that I know folks here in Jacksonville feel they’ve been deprived of, for I don’t even know how long. That dates back to pre-Doug Pederson.”
