The Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts have released their respective inactive players lists for Week 7.
The Miami Dolphins will be without some key members of their defense in Week 7 as they face the Indianapolis Colts. With kickoff about 90 minutes away, both teams have released their inactive players lists for the game. The Dolphins will be relying on the next man up for some critical positions.
Safety Jevón Holland will miss the game with a hand injury. Holland was injured during the team’s Week 5 win over the New England Patriots, reportedly breaking a bone in his hand and requiring surgery. There was hope he could play through the recovery period with the hand wrapped, but he will at least miss today’s game as the hand heals.
Also not playing in Week 7 is linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah, who has been the team’s best edge rusher this year. Ogbah was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report this week as he deals with a bicep injury. He fell on the wrong side of the questionable status on Sunday morning.
Also inactive are quarterback Skylar Thompson, running back Jeff Wilson, Jr., cornerback Ethan Bonner, linebacker Channing Tindall, and offensive lineman Andrew Meyer. Thompson was listed as the team’s emergency quarterback, allowing him to suit up for and play in the game if starter Tyler Huntley and backup Tim Boyle are injured.
The Colts will also be without some key players, starting with running back Jonathan Taylor, who has an ankle injury. Indianapolis ruled him out on Thursday this week and has been preparing to be without him throughout the practices leading into this game. Linebacker Chris Lammons was also ruled out early.
Linebacker E.J. Speed, who was downgraded from questionable to doubtful on Saturday and now moves to out, will join them on the sideline on Sunday. Speed is dealing with a knee injury.
The rest of the Colts’ inactive list includes defensive end Genard Avery, quarterback Sam Ehlinger, wide receiver Anthony Gould, and center Danny Pinter. Ehlinger is the team’s emergency quarterback behind starter Anthony Richardson and backup Joe Flacco.
Kickoff is at 1 p.m. Eastern.
