Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

The 2024 NFL Draft has concluded and we now know who the Miami Dolphins 2024 draft class is. On the first two days the team selected EDGE Chop Robinson and T Patrick Paul but the Dolphins were pretty active yesterday though.

They didn’t have a fourth round selection but traded a third round pick from next years draft to the Philadelphia Eagles so that they could move up and select RB Jaylen Wright. Considered to be one of the top backs in the draft and has the one trait Mike McDaniel covets...SPEED. Running back wasn’t a need but it sort of makes sense when you think about it. De’Von Achane dealt with injuries in his rookie year and there really wasn’t another back to help take the load off of Raheem Mostert’s legs.

The team decided adding one pass rusher wasn’t going to be enough and selected Mohamed Kamara in the fifth round. You can never have enough pass rushers and Kamara will server as a rotational piece and hopefully blossom into a starter someday.

It’s no secret that the Dolphins had been looking for a third receiver to add to their arsenal. In the sixth round, the team selected Malik Washington who can hopefully fill in that slot receiver spot. The Dolphins had another pick in the sixth round and added more depth at safety with the selection of Patrick McMorris.

In the seventh round, and their final pick, the Dolphins drafted WR Tahj Washington to add even more depth to an already crowded wide receiver room.

Chris Grier and company can now turn their attention towards adding undrafted free agents and will probably sign some veterans to add to the roster in the coming weeks.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.
