The Broncos new defensive lineman instantly makes the defense better while being a great locker room guy.

Good morning, Broncos Country!

The Denver Broncos made a lot of moves over the last three days.

The hope is that these moves get the franchise back to where everyone wants it.

But there’s a move Sean Payton and the Broncos made on Saturday that will pay immediate dividends — the trade for John Franklin-Myers.

The defensive lineman instantly makes the Denver defense better. The move with the New York Jets also had the media covering the Jets questioning why New York made this move for a future sixth-round pick. Heck, the media wondered why the Jets made the move at all, given how good Myers has been on that really good defense.

But there was a moment in October 2021 when Myers signed a four-year, $55 million deal after being claimed off waivers in 2019 that shows the type of character and man Myers is.

While he was talking about his new contract, Myers broke into tears and got extremely emotional when talking about it and what it means for his son:

“I play football for him, and I want to give him every opportunity.”

When it comes to the NFL Draft, we’ll know what the selections mean to the Broncos in a few seasons.

For now, the trade for Myers brings in a great player who will make the defense better and a great character guy for the locker room who is an even better man.
