Tuesday marks the 26th anniversary of the Jerome Bettis Thanksgiving overtime coin toss fiasco against the Detroit Lions. Steelers running back and team captain Jerome Bettis called “tails” in the air. It lands on “tails,” but referee Phil Luckett says Bettis called “heads” and awards the Lions the ball. The Lions went on to win, 19-16, in overtime.

Games involving the Cincinnati Bengals this season have averaged 53.9 points per game, the highest figure in the league.

The Steelers are now 19-16 (including playoffs) under Mike Tomlin the week after playing the Ravens.

Lamar Jackson is 1-4 against the Steelers in his career as a starter. He’s 65-19 against the rest of the NFL.

If the season ended today, Pittsburgh would be the No. 3 seed and host the Chargers in the AFC Wild Card game.

Pittsburgh’s three losses this season came against the Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, and Cleveland Browns. These teams have a combined record of 12-22 and a combined point differential of -211.

T.J. Watt’s pressure rate this season is only at 8.9%, per Next Gen Stats. Teams have chipped Watt at the highest rate this season also, but he’s not getting after the quarterback like in years past.

T.J. Watt's pressure rate per season, per Next Gen Stats:

2024 – 8.9%
2023 – 13.7%
2022 – 11.6%
2021 – 16.6%
2020 – 17.6%
2019 – 15.4%
2018 – 16.4%

His rookie season numbers aren't available but Watt's efficiency has taken a hit.
