Tina Howell and Reggie Bush discuss his new collaboration and what’s next for him.
Last week, I had the opportunity to speak with former New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush about his newest partnership, the college football playoff expansion, Saints, and more.
Bush has just teamed up with Modelo, the official beer of the College Football Playoff for an amazing collaboration to kick off the college football season. Bush, a former top-tier recruit, college and NFL football legend, will personally help analyze the film of hopeful recruits who demonstrate the grit, passion and loyalty to their team and select the most deserving fans to the “Team Modelo” roster. Winners will receive a trip to the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Atlanta, $1,000 in spending money to help fuel their fandom, a “Team Modelo” varsity jacket and a personalized signed recruitment letter from Reggie Bush.

TH: Tell me about your new partnership with Modelo and why you decided to collaborate with them?
RB: I am excited to partner with Modelo to help recruit full time fans to “Team Modelo,” and give them an opportunity to showcase how passionate they are about their school. We want the most dedicated and most passionate fans in college football. Because that’s what this game is truly about. This game is truly about the fans. It’s the reason why I showed up Saturday and do what I did because I wanted to entertain fans. I wanted to excite the crowd. I wanted people to cheer... stand up out of their seats.
That’s what the game is truly about, and they bring so much to the game that we want to bring something back to them and give them an opportunity to be a part of this team. Only 6 people will have this exclusive opportunity and experience to be recognized as the most passionate fans in college football and be a full-time fan for Team Modelo. They will also get the chance to meet me in the National Championship Game and get a couple different other perks that come along with being a part of Team Modelo.
We will be recruiting, the same way I was recruited to college, they are going to be recruited. They will receive recruiting letters and other things. I think it will be very exciting for them to recognized as the most passionate fans and I can’t wait to watch all the submission videos.
TH: What do you consider as being the ultimate fan? What would you tell someone who wants to be chosen for Team Modelo?
RB: You have got to eat, sleep, breathe your school. It has to be in you, ingrained in you, a part of who you. I need to see visuals, maybe some tattoos, some rooms literally dedicated just to your school. I want to see the most passion ever......
