The Philadelphia Eagles entered the 2024 NFL season with renewed hope and excitement.
They surprisingly fell in the first round of the playoffs last year, a far cry from their Super Bowl appearance the prior season.
Many expected them to bounce back in a big way this year, but they started the season with a 2-2 record.
They lost to the Atlanta Falcons, which was surprising, and they also fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a blowout.
Things have gotten better for them lately, as they’ve won their last four games.
While that might have been good enough in the past for them to stand atop the NFC East, the Washington Commanders currently hold that distinction and don’t look like they want to give that up.
Chris Broussard pointed this out in a recent segment of “First Things First” on FS1, indicating that the Eagles have to find a way to win this weekend if they want to have a chance at the division.
“How ‘about that curveball! They’ve won four straight. They have to keep the momentum going,” Broussard said.

The Eagles face off against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, a game that many expect them to win.
America’s team is without Dak Prescott, which should give the Eagles a leg-up on them from the jump.
A win here would give them momentum heading into the next week, as they’ll take on the red-hot Commanders.
Can the Eagles keep their foot on the gas?
Or, will they end up falling to a young team led by a promising player in Jayden Daniels?
