On Sunday, Kansas City is on the road to play its Week 12 game in Carolina.

Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. This week, Kansas City goes back on the road to play the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. Kickoff will be at noon (Arrowhead Time) on Sunday.

Here is the Chiefs’ second official injury report of the week:

Some notes

  • All eyes are on two potential returns for the Chiefs this week: running back Isiah Pacheco (ankle) and defensive end Charles Omenihu (knee). Both players were limited for the two days to begin the practice week, as they were all of last week heading into the matchup with the Buffalo Bills. Both remain on one of the team’s reserve lists.
  • Kansas City listed four more players — running back Kareem Hunt (knee), wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring), safety Bryan Cook (rib) and defensive back Chamarri Conner (thumb) — on their report, but they were listed as full participants for the second straight day.
  • Hunt and Smith-Schuster continue to receive treatment from lingering issues, while the injuries to Cook and Conner appear to stem from the team’s game against the Bills.

  • Of the four players the Panthers listed four players out of practice on Wednesday, running back Miles Sanders (ankle), was the only player to remain out on Thursday.
  • Left guard Damien Lewis (illness) and outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee) returned to practice and were limited.
  • Wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) has been cleared to play after being out of action for the last seven games, and he remained limitedb. The Panthers only opened up the practice window for linebacker Amare Barno (knee) on Wednesday, and it’s not a good sign that he did not practice on Thursday after participating Wednesday.
  • It appears that rookie running back Jonathon Brooks (knee), who was a full participant both days, is trending in the right direction to make his NFL debut against the Chiefs on Sunday.
  • Carolina added kicker Eddy Pineiro (left knee) and outside linebacker DJ Wonnum (quad) to their injury report as limited participants.
