Kansas City is hosting Denver for Week 10.
For the NFL’s Week 10, the (8-0) Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the (5-4) Denver Broncos for a big AFC West matchup on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are going for their 15th straight victory — while the Broncos are hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive with their second consecutive win over Kansas City.
The Chiefs won the opening coin toss, pushing off the decision of possession to the second half. That set up the Broncos with the ball to start the game, beginning at the 30-yard line after a touchback.
The Kansas City defense didn’t waste time settling in for the noon kickoff. The unit forced a three and out right off the bat, highlighted by safety Justin Reid making a tackle in the backfield on third down. Defensive tackle Chris Jones was coming on from the edge. The Broncos were forced to punt after three snaps.
Punt returner Mecole Hardman’s first attempt gained nine yards from the catch point.
