Chargers-Bengals Thursday Injury Report: TE Hayden Hurst returns to practice

Hayden Hurst returned to the practice field on Thursday while Khalil Mack missed another session with a groin injury.

The Chargers just dropped their second injury report of the week and you’ll be happy to know that the list did not grow at all from Wednesday to Thursday. At least, as far as new injuries go.

Thursday’s report features a new addition in running back J.K. Dobbins. However, this shouldn’t set off any alarms as Dobbins has been given Thursdays off as rest days for the past three weeks. He’s expected to return to the field for Friday’s final practice.

The other big change from Wednesday is that tight end Hayden Hurst (personal) was back on the field with no limitations. Lastly, the only other notable change is in Daiyan Henley’s status as the second-year linebacker progressed from being limited due to an illness to being a full participant on Thursday.

Unfortunately, Khalil Mack was once again DNP with the groin injury that he sustained against the Browns two weeks ago. After downplaying the injury immediately following that game, the veteran only played four snaps against the Titans this past Sunday before being shutdown for the rest of the day.

It won’t be a surprise if he once again misses every practice only to be active on Sunday night, but until he’s out there on the field, we won’t know for sure just how healthy he is.
