Here are some bold predictions from the CSC staff for the Week 1 season opener at home against Carolina.

Week 1 of the NFL regular season will kick off at home for the New Orleans Saints against one of their NFC South opponents, the Carolina Panthers.

Divisional games are always important because they could have playoff implications later in the year. For the Saints, this is an opportunity to start the season strong and get one of those games knocked out early.

So, let’s take a look at some of the Canal Street Chronicles staff’s predictions for this week’s matchup between the Saints and Panthers on Sunday in the Caesars Superdome.

TINA:

  • Saints offense comes out hot, putting up 20 points by the half.
  • 1st touchdown is scored by Alvin Kamara, who gets 2 on the day.
  • Saints defense picks off Bryce Young twice.

LUKE H:

  • Saints defense holds Bryce Young to under 200 yards passing.
  • Alvin Kamara totals 100+ receiving yards.
  • Blake Grupe is perfect on the day, including a 50+ yard field goal.

NIC:

  • Chris Olave records his first 100+ yard receiving game of the 2024 season.
  • Taysom Hill rushes for 50+ yards and a TD.
  • Chase Young and Carl Granderson combine for 3+ sacks.

CARSON:

  • The Saints will force at least two turnovers against Carolina
  • Chris Olave will score the first touchdown of the season for New Orleans
  • Carolina will limit Derek Carr to under 175 passing yards

CALEB:

  • Taysom Hill scores the first touchdown of the game
  • Chase Young will get two sacks
  • Cedrick Wilson Jr. will end with at least 8 receptions

KYLE:

  • The Saints defense gets two interceptions.
  • Alvin Kamara has 50+ yards receiving and rushing.
  • Derek Carr’s touchdowns come from tight ends and running backs.

MATT:

  • Alvin Kamara balls out, 100+ yards from scrimmage and a score.
  • Derek Carr goes for 280 and three scores.
  • Sainst D holds Carolina to less than 14 points.
