Can the Browns save their season on Sunday?
Dawgs By Nature Dawgs By Nature

There’s a long list of questions that I’ve been musing as another Browns loss seems inevitable.

The Cleveland Browns will practice later today for the final time before traveling to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski will return to where he grew up for the first time to coach against the team he rooted for in his youth.

If trends continue, he will likely be embarrassed by his team in front of many family and friends who are likely attending. Nobody is picking the Browns to win this one as many in the national media have predicted an Eagles victory.

The Eagles are coming off their bye week and are getting star wide receiver A.J. Brown back from injury. For the Browns, the injuries have limited the team in practice as Denzel Ward battles a hamstring injury that has kept him out of practice so far this week.

If the Browns lose another game, it will effectively end any hopes of making the playoffs. While it won’t eliminate them mathematically, the chances of this team going 9-2 down the stretch are impossible with the schedule ahead.

It’s likely that things will get worse, and the season spirals into a complete disaster that lands Cleveland picking inside of the top five of next year’s NFL Draft. Next week’s matchup against the Bengals at home has the potential to be very ugly as fans have had to wait to take their frustrations out.

Changes will certainly be needed if the Browns lose as scrutiny from the fans and media will intensify as answers for what caused this season will be demanded.

How could a team coming off that playoff loss in Houston spend an entire offseason implementing a plan that has them look as inept as they have?

How could a team that added coaches like Mike Vrabel, Deuce Staley, and Jacques Cesaire lack intensity and urgency?

What do you think about these questions? We will need answers at some point, but for now, give me your thoughts in the comments below.
