Caleb passes Mitch!
Check another milestone off Caleb Williams’ list. With his first pass in the second half against the Minnesota Vikings, Caleb hit DJ Moore for 37 yards, and he surpassed Mitchell Trubisky’s rookie record of 2,193 yards, which was set in 2017.
Mitch accomplished his record by playing in twelve games, while Caleb got his record in his eleventh.
The elusive 4,000-yard season may be a long shot at this point, and Erik Kramer’s franchise record of 3,838 passing yards in a season will be tough to hit as well, but Williams can still climb the ranks and get into Jay Cutler territory. Cutler holds the four spots below Kramer on the all-time single-passing list, with 3,274 yards checking in at number five.
Williams has also been moving up the Chicago Bears' all-time passing yards list, and there’s a decent chance he can crack the top 25, which is held by Cade McNown with 3,111 yards in his two-year career.
