Kadarius Toney to return kicks with Jaelon Darden inactive, big Saints injury news

The Cleveland Browns are switching things up in Week 11 as the 2024 season has little meaning beyond NFL draft stock watch. The Browns were mostly healthy coming out of their bye week but DT Mike Hall Jr. got hurt and OT Jedrick Wills was also ruled out for the game against the New Orleans Saints.

The final injury report was loaded with questionable players for the home Saints and two important ones were ruled out due to injury.

Now, with 90 minutes left before kickoff down in New Orleans, both teams have released their inactive report with a new returner coming for Cleveland:

Browns Inactive Report

  • QB Bailey Zappe (3QB)
  • WR Jaelon Darden
  • RB D’Onta Foreman
  • CB Chigozie Anusiem
  • OT Jedrick Wills Jr.

With Darden inactive, WR Kadarius Toney will likely take the return duties. Toney has returned 17 punts but no kickoffs in his career.

Saints Inactive Report

  • QB Spencer Rattler (3QB)
  • RB Jamaal Williams
  • OL Lucas Patrick
  • S Millard Bradford
  • LB Jaylan Ford
  • DT Kristian Boyd
  • WR Mason Tipton

All good news for New Orleans with all six of their questionable players making it to play on Sunday including starting LB Pete Warner.

How do you feel about Toney getting the nod over Darden to return kicks?
