With an extra bye week to get ready, we’re betting big on Nick Chubb against the Saints’ run defense.
The Cleveland Browns are on the road against the New Orleans Saints in Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season this Sunday, November 17, at 1:00 pm ET. The Browns are 1.5-point underdogs against the Saints, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Here are my favorite player prop bets from the Browns’ perspective in Week 11.
In his three games, Nick Chubb has had 22, 52, and 39 yards rushing. Even if you go back to when Jerome Ford played, he only had over 60 yards rushing once this season. Therefore, taking the bet on Chubb getting at least 61 yards rushing might seem like a push. However, he is now five weeks back from his injury, and had a bye along with the rest of the team to get healthier. The Saints are also allowing 5.15 yards per carry, which ranks 31st in the NFL. Cleveland offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey said that they have adjusted their scheme to get rid of run plays that weren’t working, so we’ll see if that is noticeable here.
Even though Cedric Tillman is stealing all the headlines at the receiver position, Elijah Moore has also seen a substantial uptick in targets. In his last three games, Moore has 41, 85, and 28 yards receiving. In that last game, he had 9 targets, but Winston was off. The Saints’ defense has vulnerabilities, and I think we’ll see the timing passes to Moore return in third down situations. I would take the over on Moore getting at least 38 yards receiving.
Sometimes we like to gamble a bit more with one of our picks. We talked about betting on Nick Chubb having success on the ground against the Saints, so if we’re rolling with that mentality, then why not take him to score a touchdown too? Not just a touchdown, but the first touchdown of the game? The Saints are 31st in the NFL in goal-to-go defense, so if Cleveland gets down in that zone early, Chubb seems like a nice bet to punch it in and reward you with a +600 here.
Browns fans, let us know which player prop bets you’re looking at this week against the Saints.
