Mike Hall, Maurice Hurst, Mohamoud Diabate are back on the 53-man roster
The ever-busy Cleveland Browns continue to make moves to their 53-man roster on Saturday, a day before their Week 6 matchup versus the Philadelphia Eagles. On a huge sports Saturday, the Browns roster saw five moves including activating two players who were designated for return from injured reserve this week:
Hurst and Diabate were listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
As expected, Cleveland also activated DT Mike Hall Jr. off of the Commissioner’s Exempt list.
To make room on their 53-man roster, the Browns released WR/KR James Proche II and placed OT James Hudson III on injured reserve. Hudson had announced that he had successful shoulder surgery earlier in the week.
With Proche’s release, Cleveland will need a return man for Week 6 versus the Eagles so they elevated WR/KR Jaelon Darden from the practice squad along with S Chris Edmonds. With both Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman Jr. ruled out against Philadelphia, Edmonds will likely see time on defense and special teams.
With Hurst and Diabate back, the Browns still have LB Jordan Hicks and CB Denzel Ward as questionable for tomorrow’s game. We will know the official statuses of all four about 90 minutes before kickoff when the inactive reports are released.
