Zay Flowers, Marlon Humphrey, Jed Wills, Jordan Hicks would be big if they can’t practice Friday
The Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens enter Week 8 in completely different positions in the standings but with injury reports that are similar. With 12 players not participating on Wednesday, including some key starters, both teams have practice reports that need to be monitored.
The Browns roster turnover also hasn’t stopped with five moves made on Tuesday. Before Wednesday’s practice came news that OL Wyatt Teller was designated for return from injured reserve.
The Ravens also got potentially positive news with RB Keaton Mitchell, who had 66 total yards and a touchdown against Cleveland last year, was also designated for return from injured reserve. WR Zay Flowers and CB Marlon Humphrey being out for the first two days of practice could be problematic for the AFC North leaders.
Thursday’s injury report saw a few changes (all listed in bold below):
How Cleveland would handle Wills missing the game will be interesting. Will they slide Conklin over to left tackle or keep him on the right and start Dawand Jones?
Flowers and Humphrey being out for a second day throws their Week 8 status in the air. Getting Wiggins back to full participation and Jones getting back on the field are positive signs for Baltimore.
We will keep you up to date all week with the daily injury reports.
