Browns Nick Chubb’s rehab: Behind-the-scenes mini-movie of ‘Batman’s’ return

Nick Chubb’s return in Week 7 versus the Bengals could be a movie itself but here we see some of the rehab

“Even Batman goes down... He has to get back up, he can’t stay down.” Powerful words from Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb’s mother as her son’s rehab from yet another major injury.

We hope that today, as Chubb returns for the Browns in the Battle of Ohio against the Cincinnati Bengals is what the kids call “a movie” or “cinema.” With his team stuck at 1-5, the show unfortunately doesn’t include Chubb taking them over the top but, hopefully, at least stabilizing the putrid offense.

This week has been all about Chubb for good reason:

• His emotional letter to the City of Cleveland
• Behind-the-scenes interviews with those who helped him on his path to recovery and his family
• Finally, officially returned to the Browns 53-man roster

Then we got this mini-movie where we actually get to see and hear from Chubb during the process including shortly after the injury and surgeries. That is where we hear those words from his mother along with other comparisons to his “Batman” persona:

Now, Sunday morning, we are just hours away from what we hope is the next step in Chubb’s movie. The climax will not be when he steps on the field or has his first carry or crosses the goal line. The climax, again hopefully, is still bringing Cleveland a Super Bowl title.

For now, we will watch as fans of an amazing player and person as Chubb’s return to the field continues to touch all the feelings for Browns fans.
