Tony Brown II signed to the 53-man roster after 3 practice squad elevations
The amount of strain that injuries have placed on the Cleveland Browns roster has been extreme for the second straight season. Unlike in 2023, the 2024 Browns roster hasn’t had as many season-ending injuries to key players at key positions but has had a lot of players placed on injured reserve or miss multiple games in a row.
Slowly, players are being designated to return from various lists. Last week, we had three including RB Nick Chubb designated for return. This week, two more were designated for return.
As a part of making room on the 53-man roster for returns from injury, Browns GM Andrew Berry has been busy this week. Tuesday the team made six moves to free up roster spots on both the active and practice squad. Wednesday saw five more moves, this time adding players to both squads and the end of Charley Hughlett’s games-played streak.
Thursday morning the moves kept coming with CB Tony Brown II signed to the active roster and the three players released from the 53-man on Tuesday heading to the practice squad:
With returns possible for Week 6’s game, expect even more moves later this week.
