Bitonio has been a stalwart of the offensive line since 2014, and Sunday will mark career start number 150
Like most NFL teams, the Cleveland Browns have had their fair share of “up’s and down’s” when it comes to developing draft picks since they came back to Ohio in 1999. One of their most beloved success stories is undoubtedly OG Joel Bitonio, who’s headed for his 150th career start on Sunday.
When you think of a player like Bitonio it’s hard to imagine anything besides success or comfortability. He’s always been a beloved human being by the Cleveland community and organization both on and off the field since 2014 when he started all 16 games and was named to the NFL’s All-Rookie team.
Over the past decade, Joel has been named to the Pro Bowl six times and has been an All-Pro a total of five times, twice as a first-teamer. He’s proven time and time again, like the great Joe Thomas, that he’s consistently one of the best offensive linemen in the league each year.
His overall athleticism, skill, reliability, and leadership have been a breath of fresh air for the left side of the offensive line on a unit that’s been steadily improving since his arrival 11 years ago.
Though the 2024 season isn’t going the way everyone had hoped it’s important to recognize and congratulate Joel Bitonio on Sunday’s incredible career milestone.
