Ethan Pocic returning to the practice field is vital
The Cleveland Browns still have a lot of injury concerns despite a better overall injury report on Wednesday compared to the past few weeks. The big news is obviously the return of RB Nick Chubb to an offense that needs all the help that they can get.
Chubb’s heartfelt letter to the City of Cleveland and Browns fans put an extra emotional layer to his return from injury.
The blocking in front of Chubb is still a concern with the tackles struggling, Wyatt Teller out with an injury and multiple injuries at the center position. Backup Luke Wypler was lost for the season before the season started and Nick Harris, who Cleveland reacquired in a trade after the Wypler injury, was just lost for the season as well.
Harris was playing in place of starter Ethan Pocic. After the Harris injury, Michael Dunn moved over to center and the Browns signed a center to their practice squad.
Some potentially good news in advance of the Battle of Ohio against the Cincinnati Bengals as Pocic, who didn’t practice on Wednesday, was back on the field Thursday while RB Jerome Ford and S Ronnie Hickman Jr. remained out:
While Pocic returned to practice it is not certain he will be able to play this week. Multiple times this season the Browns have had players practice late in the week but still be ruled out for the game.
We will have the full injury report later this afternoon
