Also, fans still see a Cincinnati victory this week and the team dropping to 1-6.
Each week during season, Cleveland Browns fans vote in SB Nation Reacts to express their confidence level in the team or their thoughts on other topics.
After their loss to the Eagles in Week 6, the Browns’ confidence went up to 9%, an increase of 4 percentage points from the previous week. It’s within the margin for error in which I would say there was no improvement, but I guess you could say that the return of Nick Chubb swayed some votes.
The Bengals’ confidence is at a respectable 62% after their 2-4 start.
We asked two questions about the Browns this week. The first asked what Browns fans feel about the team trading Amari Cooper away. 80% of fans said it was fine, while only 20% hated it. This is a case where I think fans would’ve loved Cooper, but given the way the season is going and the fact that Cooper has looked a bit frustrated, you might as well get something for him.
Our other asked Browns fans who they thought would win between Cleveland and Cincinnati, since the national perspective can differ on the Battle of Ohio. Still, however, only 23% of Browns fans voted that they think Cleveland will beat the Bengals.
Fans on a national level were asked who they think will cover the spread between the Browns and the Eagles. The Browns are 5.5 point underdogs to the Bengals this Sunday, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Only 16% of people think Cleveland will cover, while all the bets are going toward the Bengals. That shows that the national sentiment is even stronger that, even with 5.5 points, less voters think the Browns will win, let alone cover.
