Also, how do fans view the defense in 2024 compared to 2023?

Each week during season, Cleveland Browns fans vote in SB Nation Reacts to express their confidence level in the team or their thoughts on other topics.

After their loss to the Commanders in Week 5, the Browns’ confidence level dropped to 5%, a decrease of 10 percentage points from the previous week, and a new season low. You are at a point now where 1-2 is bad, 1-3 is bad, but then 1-4 starts to look like, “Man, it’s this early and we’re basically not going to have a shot at the playoffs.” The 2024 season seems like a goner already, and we’ve only completed five weeks.

The Eagles’ confidence is also quite low at 16% after their 2-2 start and coming off the bye week. Their record keeps them in it, but fans don’t like how the team has looked in their four games.

We asked two questions about the Browns this week. The first what Browns fans feel Nick Chubb will be able to do for the offense when he comes back, hopefully next week. 78% of fans say it won’t matter, while 22% are still banking on him saving the offense.

Our other question focused on how fans think the defense is performing in 2024 compared to 2023. 63% of fans think the defense is really struggling and taken a step back, while 37% view them as being pretty much the same.

Fans on a national level were asked who they think will cover the spread between the Browns and the Eagles. The Browns were 8.5 point underdogs to the Eagles this Sunday at the time of the poll, per FanDuel Sportsbook (the line has since moved to 9.5). Only 20% of people think Cleveland will cover, while all the bets are going toward the Eagles.
