This spread was a full two points higher before Sunday’s game, so some of the action did go Denver’s way after they won and Baltimore lost, but being an early game on the east coast against a playoff contender the line actually makes a lot of sense here.

The Ravens have the best offense in the NFL this season ranking first in the run and fourth in passing yards. They are quite literally the biggest test for Vance Joseph and the Broncos defense this season. Baltimore’s defense is a bit soft, so if Bo Nix and the Broncos offense can find some juice this game could end up a lot closer than the line suggests.

That’s not me predicting a win or anything, because with a rookie quarterback on the road it is also a game that could get away from the Broncos. Both sides of the ball must put in their best games of the season. If they could just steal one game out of the next two against either these Ravens or on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, then they’ll be in great shape in the AFC for a playoff push.
