We bring you this week’s mailbag which is very offseason and Saints related!

Hello CSR! Welcome to Brian Answers, part two of our weekly Panthers mailbag for everyone! This week was all smiles and food takes as the Panthers defeated their division rival Saints. And head coach Dennis Allen got fired. Hilarious.

To recap, Brian Answers is our second part of a weekly fan mailbag, where you can ask Panthers related questions, football related, or even completely off topic questions! Let’s dive in!

Good_Ol_Boy: Do you prefer your yams with or without marshmallows on top? (Thanksgiving is coming)

I prefer marshmallows on top. It drowns out the flavor of yams. I dislike yams.

MtndancerSr: And to piggy back on that: Yams or sweet potatoes?

Sweet potatoes all day. More versatile in my opinion.

TLGPanthersFan: Still think the Panthers will pursue a QB, Ward it Sanders, during the draft?

I, honestly, don’t see another win after this game. Giants are bette than their record.

I am of the opinion that unless the Panthers string a few wins together circa 2022 that they will go get a QB at the top of the draft, even if it might make sense to go get a veteran QB or a mid round project to compete with Bryce. Ward or Sanders both could be guys if the offense is built properly around them.

I think they’ll sneak two more wins, this game potentially being one of them. Giants fans are not optimistic about their chances, and I still believe the Panthers will end the Chiefs winning streak!

bolshy: Would you rather us win a few more games this year or lose and get a better draft slot?

We all remember 2022 I’m sure, when the Panthers were looking to be one of if not the worst teams in the league, only for Steve Wilks to come in as the interim head coach and manage to put the Panthers within one win over the Bucs into the playoffs. They didn’t win that game, the Panthers picked 8th, and ended up making the infamous trade for Bryce Young that landed them here today. That was a different situation, as the Panthers had just fired their head coach, seemingly had no intention of retaining Sam Darnold, and were in a period of transition. This Panthers squad is not the same. Dave Canales is a rookie head coach, who is navigating his way through the current crop of QBs at his disposal, Dan Morgan is also a rookie general manager who looks to have brought in a solid draft of productive talent in this year’s draft, and has 11 picks at his disposal for 2025. Bottom line: I actually think winning will be good for this team, as they struggled to retain guys like Frankie Luvu and struggled to gain high end free agents without throwing a boatload of cash at them. I think winning games will show Carolina is not directionless, and that there is a future here...
