There’s a lot at stake for the Bills tonight depending on who wins ‘TNF’

The Cincinnati Bengals take on the Baltimore Ravens this evening in an AFC North showdown for Thursday Night Football. Tonight’s outcome could have a huge impact on the Buffalo Bills in terms of AFC playoff seeding. That’s true only if the Cincinnati Bengals can come away with a win.

Though the Bills remain largely in control of their playoff chances, there’s every reason to root for the 4-5 Bengals to win. It won’t be easy for Cincinnati to come away with a win in Baltimore, but divisional games are rarely typical.

Tonight, the Ravens are 5.5-point favorites with FanDuel Sportsbook, which has the O/U set at 52.5 total points. So, it’s going to take some real work by the Bengals to win this evening.

Here’s what’s at stake if Baltimore does lose in Week 10, per Rachel Auberger’s latest Bills rooting interests guide:

As we know, the Bills can do nothing to get the Ravens out of their way for playoff seeding — except hope other teams do it for them. While the Ravens slipped and are no longer on top of the AFC North, Buffalo needs them to stay in the wild card numbers in order to have favorable seeding position — or at least have more losses. The Bengals haven’t had the season they were hoping for, but division rivals are always more troublesome than their records make it seem. A Cincinnati win this week would give the Bills some breathing room at the top of the AFC Conference chart.

I just don’t see things going well for the Bengals tonight. The Ravens have been on a near-unstoppable tear this season, where their early season losses seem stranger than any fiction crafted by Edgar Allen Poe.

Baltimore Ravens, 27, Cincinnati Bengals 23
