Nick Harris heads to IR while Siaki Ika is once again released
The end of any slight hope of the Cleveland Browns competing for anything in 2024 is upon us. We believed it was over last week but the AFC playoff picture was a little more wide open than expected after Week 6.
Tuesday morning we asked a question about whether the Browns should tank or try to continue to be as competitive as possible despite the 1-5 start to the season. Tuesday afternoon we got a part of the answer as WR Amari Cooper was traded to the Buffalo Bills.
While many fans still hope Deshaun Watson is benched in Cleveland, the changes on the Browns roster continued Tuesday without that move. Five moves, six including the Cooper trade, came out from Berea:
Tom has appeared in 14 games since being undrafted in 2017. Ika was released as the team went to their initial 53-man roster and was not claimed one year after being selected on Day 2 of the NFL draft. Cleveland signed Ika to the practice squad after Week 1.
