The offense is moving the ball, but can’t settle for field goals in the red zone
McCaffrey picked up a 3rd & 1. Aaron Banks was flagged for a holding call to back the offense up. Kyle Juszczyk left after taking a knee to the helmet. He was in the blue medical tent.
An illegal formation negated a chunk gain for McCaffrey. That penalty was the seventh of the game, equalling as many points as San Francisco had. The Niners stalled in the red zone, but Moody’s kick extended the lead to 10-6.
Nick Bosa sacked Geno for the second time to begin the next drive. But he was clearly battling through pain and ended up pulling himself on the following 3rd down. Bosa was seen on the sideline grimacing, talking to the team’s doctors. On the 3rd & 12, Yiadom mistimed his jump and gave up a 26-yard pass to DK Metcalf. Smith-Njigba picked up nine yards on 3rd & 4. Seattle ended up scoring on an 11-play drive for 70 yards after capitalizing on Bosa being out.
The score made it 13-10.
