2024 NFL Week 9: Hart’s Picks
Mile High Report Mile High Report

For Week 8 of the NFL season, Mile High Report’s Christopher Hart picked 11 of 16 games correctly. Here are his straight up picks for Week 9.

My pick prediction streak remains strong after getting 11 of 16 games correct for Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season.

With three weeks of strong picks, I’m at 80-43 on the season—still at 65-percent accuracy. That’s roughly 65-percent accuracy and over a 10-percent rise since Week 5. I’m trending in the right direction! This week there 15 matchups with the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers on their bye weeks.

Without further ado, here are my Week 9 predictions. Let’s see if I can keep on winning!

Thursday Night Football – Houston Texans at New York Jets

The Texans notched their sixth victory of the year last Sunday, but it came at a cost. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs was lost for the year with an ACL injury. The Jets lost their fifth in a row and their playoff hopes are dead unless an absolute miracle occurs. I don’t think that miracle starts on Thursday Night Football. I’m picking Houston.

Winner: Texans

Sunday Football (Early Game) – Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons

The only ‘D’ in Dallas is in their team's name. That side of the ball has been M.I.A. for them all season long. If they want any shot at making the playoffs, they better learn how to play defense fast. The Falcons have a high scoring offense, and I expect them to light it up against the Cowboys. I’ll take Atlanta at home.

Winner: Falcons

Sunday Football (Early Game) – New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans

Both these teams are pretty terrible. Which one is the least terrible? My heart says the Patriots. Drake Maye should be able to outperform Will Levis in this one.

Winner: Patriots

Sunday Football (Early Game) – Las Vegas Raiders at Cincinatti Bengals

The Raiders notching their fifth straight loss would make me really happy. Neither of these teams play good defense, but the Bengals are much better offensively. That’s why I’m giving them the edge and picking them. Go Bengals!

Winner: Bengals

Sunday Football (Early Game) – Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens

The Broncos’ top-flight defense heads to Baltimore to take on Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and the Ravens’ high-flying offense. This should be a really exciting game. If the Broncos win—they’ve proven themselves as formidable playoff contenders. If they lose? They’ll have some ground to try and make up in Week 10. I’ve got my orange and blue shades on, so I’m taking Denver here.

Winner: Broncos

Sunday Football (Early Game) – Los Angeles Chargers at Cleveland Browns

The Chargers and Browns both won their Week 8 matchups. Jameis Winston and the Browns’ offense looked much better against the Ravens. Can they keep that trend going against the Chargers? I think so. I’m taking Cleveland here.

Winner: Browns

Sunday Football (Early Game) – New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
