The Titans are hosting one of the best defensive prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft on a pre-draft visit

The Tennessee Titans are hosting Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold on a pre-draft visit in Nashville. The news was first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Arnold is a top 15 overall prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft.

This one qualifies as a mini surprise. The Titans own the No. 7 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. General manager Ran Carthon acquired two starting-caliber cornerbacks this offseason in L’Jarius Sneed and Chido Awuzie. Sneed is one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league. The Titans also have Roger McCreary at the position.

The Titans are likely identifying Arnold as a potential trade-back candidate. Arnold is expected to be drafted in the 12-20 range. If the Titans trade down, there’s a plausible scenario where Arnold is the best overall prospect available. Carthon wants to be prepared for any and all scenarios.

Arnold is rivaling Quinyon Mitchell to be the first cornerback drafted. Arnold possesses all of the athletic and technical tools necessary to develop into a high-caliber, shutdown corner. Arnold leaped a 10-foot-9 broad jump at the NFL Combine. He also had a 37 inch vertical, and ran the 40 in 4.51 seconds.

The Titans have also shown a ton of interest in cornerbacks throughout the pre-draft process. Arnold isn’t the first cornerback to visit Nashville on a “30” visit designation. They’ve also hosted Missouri cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine, and Louisville’s Jarvis Brownlee Jr. The Titans are going to draft a cornerback at some point.
