The New York Giants lost to the Carolina Panthers, 20-17, on Sunday morning in Munich, Germany. It was their first international loss and extended their active losing streak to five games.

The five-game losing streak is tied for the longest current streak in the NFL (Las Vegas Raiders). However, there was a silver lining in Sunday’s loss, which many believe was considered the “tank bowl” in Munich.

The Giants are currently slated to select second overall in the 2025 NFL draft, per Tankathon, jumping five spots since holding the seventh overall pick ahead of Week 10.

Of course, with half of the season remaining, there could be many changes and order shuffles up ahead.

Big Blue will likely be in the market for a new quarterback as they are expected to move on from Daniel Jones. But there are major questions about whether the current regime of general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll will survive the season.

Sunday’s loss was particularly tough given the outlook that the Panthers were arguably the worst team in the NFL and the Giants were favorites for the first time in 24 games.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., who fumbled on the first offensive play of overtime to set up the Panthers game-winning field goal, was notably upset following the fumble in overtime. However, many reactions on X were thankful for Tracy’s fumble.

The Giants are likely to be underdogs for all their remaining games. At 2-8, the watch for draft position is in full throttle for many fans and you’ll see an increasing number of fans rooting for losses the rest of the way.
