JC Latham to be monitored this week

JC Latham to be monitored this week

Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan said today that JC Latham will be monitored this week. It does not sound promising that he will be ready to go when the Indianapolis Colts come to Nissan Stadium on Sunday. The Titans still haven’t placed Latham on IR, so it seems he will miss fewer than four games.

I don’t have to tell you how important it is for Latham to get back quickly. John Ojukwu filled in for Latham against the Los Angeles Rams, and it did not go particularly well. The only upside here is that the Colts’ pass rush is...

Titans to induct Mike Keith into Ring of Honor

Titans to induct Mike Keith into Ring of Honor

On Saturday, I went to the Alabama game with my two oldest boys and my dad. It was an 11:00 kick, so when we got in the car to drive back to Nashville, the Tennessee vs. Georgia game was just getting underway. We fired up the 104.5 The Zone app and got to listen to Mike Keith call the game. It was a bittersweet moment. I was thrilled to get to listen to him call the game all the way home, but it made me really sad that he is no longer the Voice of the Titans.

Titans need to fix their run defense in Week 3 matchup vs Colts, Jonathan Taylor

Titans need to fix their run defense in Week 3 matchup vs Colts, Jonathan Taylor

The Tennessee Titans have struggled to defend the run this season. The Los Angeles Rams routinely ripped off chunk plays in Sunday’s Week 2 loss. The Rams outgained the Titans 149-109 via the ground-game attack.

The Rams’ fourth run-play from scrimmage was a 45-yard touchdown by Puka Nacua on 4th-and-short. Veteran safety Xavier Woods shot the gap beautifully, but whiffed horribly, and Nacua went untouched to the end zone. It was the second 45-plus-yard gain the Titans’ defense gave up on the ground in as many weeks after Denver Broncos rookie running back RJ Harvey ripped off a 50-yard run...

Titans vs. Colts opening odds

Titans vs. Colts opening odds

For a third straight week, the Tennessee Titans open as an underdog at FanDuel Sportsbook. This time, they are a 3.5-point home underdog against the Indianapolis Colts. It is hard to see a scenario where the Titans are a favorite this year. The best chance currently is probably at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 13.

The Colts’ offense has been a juggernaut through the first two weeks of the season. Danny Dimes is having a career resurgence, leading his team to 31 points per game. In fact, the Colts have yet to punt on the season. That’s pretty...

NFL power rankings and the Titans

NFL power rankings and the Titans

Looking at NFL power rankings can be fun when your team is good. Of course, the Tennessee Titans aren’t good, so looking at the various power rankings isn’t that fun. With that being said, the Titans opened with two of their toughest opponents in 2025. There is a chance the Titans could rattle off a couple of wins in the next month, and then they will move up these lists. That would be fun, right?

Here is a look at where the Titans rank at some of the various sites around the internet:

This is not a defense of Brian Callahan, but

This is not a defense of Brian Callahan, but

The Tennessee Titans have started the season 0-2, and people are losing their minds. That’s pretty funny because it is exactly what every reasonable person expected to happen. The two teams the Titans have faced so far, the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams, are just flat-out better than the Titans.

It’s also funny to me that so many people are blaming Brian Callahan for the 0-2 start. Look, there were a couple of things that were bad in the Denver game. The playcalling right before halftime, when the Titans were backed up against their own goal line was bad....

Comparing Titans HC Brian Callahan to Ken Whisenhunt through 19 games

The Tennessee Titans were defeated 33-19 by the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. The Titans have begun their 2025 campaign with consecutive contests against playoff-caliber teams. Brian Callahan’s squad is 0-2 with eight straight losses dating back to 2024.

Callahan’s Titans are rebuilding. They have a No. 1 overall rookie quarterback in Cam Ward who looks like a potential franchise savior through two weeks. That’s an incredibly promising development. General manager Mike Borgonzi is a patient decision maker, and he plans to rebuild the Titans methodically, without looking for shortcuts (the way Ran Carthon did).

Though the Titans aren’t...

Checking in on Cam Ward’s week two performance

Checking in on Cam Ward’s week two performance

It is becoming more and more evident that it is going to be tough to evaluate Cam Ward behind this offensive line – especially as long as JC Latham is out. He is running for his life back there, and it is causing him to move from the pocket sooner than he should at times. It’s hard to blame him for that. Hopefully, Latham is back in short order, and they can start to get some cohesion up front.

Ward was 19 of 33 for 175 yards and a touchdown yesterday. He still hasn’t thrown an interception, but he did...

Rams 33 Titans 19 quick recap

Rams 33 Titans 19 quick recap

The Tennessee Titans were competitive for three quarters in this game. There are no moral victories in the NFL, but that is about as much as you can expect from this Titans roster. They just are not talented enough to play with a team like the Los Angeles Rams, that are a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

The first thing the Titans have to address this offseason is the pass rush. They were only able to sack Matthew Stafford one time today. He really was not under much pressure otherwise. That is what allowed him to end the day with 298...

Titans vs. Rams open game thread

Week 2 of the NFL season is upon us. The Tennessee Titans will try to avoid falling to 0-2 today against the Los Angeles Rams. Of course, the problem is they are facing a more talented team than they are for the 2nd straight week. That will be the case most weeks this year, unless Cam Ward can go ahead and elevate this roster the way that star quarterbacks do. He has that in him. The only question is, how long will it take him to get there?

Today, the biggest issue is that they are missing JC Latham. That...

Titans vs. Rams final injury report

Titans vs. Rams final injury report

It’s a tough week on the injury front for the Tennessee Titans. They will be without JC Latham, T’Vondre Sweat, Kevin Winston, and most likely Kalel Mullings. The most significant of those, obviously, are Latham and Sweat. The good news is that L’Jarius Sneed does not have an injury designation heading into this game. He played 19 snaps last week against the Denver Broncos. He said this week he wanted to play more. Hopefully, they can get a full run of snaps from him in this one.

The Los Angeles Rams will be missing starting guard Steve Avila. Jeffery Simmons...
