Tennesee Titans week 16 rooting guide

Tennesee Titans week 16 rooting guide

I’ve got a feeling the Tennessee Titans are going to beat the Kansas City Chiefs today. It just seems like a bad spot for the Chiefs after losing Patrick Mahomes and getting eliminated from playoff contention last week. The Titans have been dealing with the reality that they won’t be in the playoffs since September. That’s a different mentality than getting eliminated in mid-December with games left to play.

If the Titans do win, it makes it all the more important that the teams around them win so the Titans don’t fall too far in the 2026 NFL Draft order....

Titans coaching search: Matt Nagy viewed internally as serious candidate

Titans coaching search: Matt Nagy viewed internally as serious candidate

Dianna Russini of The Athletic did some reporting on the Tennessee Titans’ head coaching search this morning. Off the top, she said that Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is a serious candidate to be the next head coach of the Titans. Nagy has ties to Titans’ GM Mike Borgonzi from their days together with the Chiefs.

Nagy is not my first choice, but it makes sense that he would be on their list. They are probably going to want someone who is an offensive mind and has been a head coach before. Nagy checks both of those boxes....

Cedric Gray out for Titans vs. Chiefs

Cedric Gray out for Titans vs. Chiefs

Tennessee Titans linebacker Cedric Gray will miss Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a concussion. Gray did get back on the practice field in a limited capacity today, so it does seem like he is progressing through the protocol. That should give him a chance to be back for next week’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Femi Oladejo returned to practice this week, but he will also be out against the Chiefs. Hopefully, he will also be back next week. Oladejo has a ton of potential, but is still very raw. He needs all of the...

On Cam Ward and the next head coach

On Cam Ward and the next head coach

There was some buzz this week after Cam Ward was asked if he wanted to be involved in selecting the next head coach for the Tennessee Titans. Here was his response:

I didn’t have a problem with his answer at all. There was nowhere in there where he said he wanted to pick the next head coach. All he said was that he wants to meet everyone they bring in and have a conversation with them. That sounds perfectly reasonable.

If I were Chad Brinker and Mike Borgonzi, I would have each candidate sit down with Ward and let them...

A Titans Head Coaching Profile: Mike McCarthy

A Titans Head Coaching Profile: Mike McCarthy

Mike McCarthy is the former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers and has the biggest profile out of anyone who is potentially up for the Titans’ job. If anything, he may be the most vanilla, boring candidate I cover because, well, we know what we’re getting from him. He’s a professional who’s done the job before, and even though the chances are he’s not gonna lead the next big dynasty or anything, he’ll be stable and get the job done. This is one where I’m confident a big majority of people will not be too upset...

How the Titans will line up in the defensive backfield following 3 injuries

How the Titans will line up in the defensive backfield following 3 injuries

The Tennessee Titans suffered a trio of injuries in the defensive backfield against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15. Safeties Mike Brown, Kevin Winston Jr. and Xavier Woods all suffered injuries that forced them exit early. All three have since been placed on season-ending IR.

The Titans signed Erick Hallett from the Detroit Lions practice squad and Sanoussi Kane from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad to replace them. If Dennard Wilson can help it, Hallett and Sanoussi won’t play defensive snaps versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16. With that in mind, we’ve analyzed how the Titans can...

Adam Schefter confirms Amy Adams Strunk fired Brian Callahan

If you have been paying attention at all, you already knew that Amy Adams Strunk was the one who fired Brian Callahan earlier this season. All of the messaging this offseason was that Chad Brinker and Mike Borgonzi were going to be patient this season. They knew the Tennessee Titans were facing an uphill battle this season due to the overall state of the roster. There was no reason to bring Callahan back this year just to fire him in early October.

Yesterday, Adam Schefter was on Cover Two with Zach Lyons and Blaine Bishop on 104.5 The Zone here...

Pair of Titans reserve offensive linemen could be key to offseason plans

Pair of Titans reserve offensive linemen could be key to offseason plans

Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi will be tasked with adding premium talents at premium positions this offseason. The lack of difference makers at wide receiver, EDGE, and cornerback has especially been evident throughout this 2-12 season. Despite the big and obvious items on the to-do list, Borgonzi can’t neglect the lesser-priority depth issues, either.

The Titans have really improved across the offensive line lately. They’ve allowed a combined one sack in the previous two games. Tony Pollard is running the football with renewed vigor, and Cam Ward has consecutive multi-TD passing performances. In those two contests, the Titans have...

Titans place three safeties on injured reserve

Titans place three safeties on injured reserve

In the first half of the game on Sunday, the Tennessee Titans saw three safeties go down to injuries. Today, all three of those safeties, Kevin Winston Jr., Xavier Woods, and Mike Brown, were placed on injured reserve. It’s really unfortunate to see Winston down for the rest of the year. He’s a guy who has played pretty well in limited time this season.

To replace those guys, the Titans signed Erick Hallett from the Detroit Lions practice squad and Sanoussi Kane from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. Those guys will probably see some pretty extensive playing time on Sunday...

Titans offensive line has figured something out in recent weeks

Titans offensive line has figured something out in recent weeks

The Tennessee Titans entered the season with expectations on the offensive line. General manager Mike Borgonzi signed Dan Moore Jr. to a lucrative contract to play left tackle. Veteran Kevin Zeitler also joined the offensive line via free agency.

Lloyd Cushenberry is on a $50 million contract. Peter Skoronski and JC Latham complete the offensive line as first-round picks. Despite those investments, the Titans’ offensive line failed to meet expectations early.

A switch has completely flipped in recent outings. The offensive line was outstanding throughout the 31-29 Week 14 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Cam Ward had more touchdowns (2)...
