Seahawks designate Christian Haynes for return to practice

For those wondering about the future of second-year right guard Christian Haynes, it looks as if a return to the active roster is imminent.

The Seattle Seahawks announced that Haynes, who was placed on injured reserve back in August with a pec injury, has been designated for return to practice ahead of Wednesday’s practice for the Washington Commanders game. Haynes dealt with a separate pec issue that kept him out of a few training camp practices, including the annual scrimmage at Lumen Field.

Haynes will have 21 days from today (Oct. 29) to be activated to the 53-man roster, otherwise...

Seahawks insider Gregg Bell ‘would be shocked’ if Seattle traded for Wyatt Teller

The Seattle Seahawks are coming out of the bye week at 5-2, sitting firmly in the NFC playoff picture but with plenty left to prove. It’s been a first half defined by resilience, defensive growth, and flashes of what this new-look offense could be — but also questions about identity and consistency.

To break it all down, I sat down with Gregg Bell, Seahawks beat reporter for the Tacoma News Tribune, for an in-depth conversation on The Hawks Eye. Few people have a better feel for the mood inside the building than Gregg, and he offered a clear, detailed picture...

Seahawks Reacts Survey, Week 9: What will Jaxon Smith-Njigba do to the Commanders?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

We’re out of the bye week and into another Seattle Seahawks game week. They’re on the road at the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football, and I bet you that most non-Seahawks fans would’ve assumed at this point that Washington would be the one comfortably above .500 wile the Seahawks would be 3-5 and a sinking ship. The Commanders’ season is...

Seahawks national power rankings roundup, Week 9: Rams ranked above first-place Seattle

Seahawks national power rankings roundup, Week 9: Rams ranked above first-place Seattle

Last week, after beating the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football, the national media maintained their positive outlook on the Seattle Seahawks. However, with positive outlooks and playoff expectations, the bar for success has risen for the Seahawks. Has this high bar maintained through the week eight bye week?

As is the case with all news cycles, it is very quick to be forgotten. Between the Monday Night Football game in week 7 that started at 10PM Eastern, and a bye week this past week, the Seahawks all the way out in the Pacific Northwest have quickly become an afterthought...

Seahawks adding speedy former third round wide receiver

The 2025 NFL trade deadline is officially less than a week away, with 4 pm New York time on November 4 looming just over the horizon.

Ahead of the trade deadline the Seattle Seahawks are reportedly set to add a speedy former third round wide receiver.

Velus Jones was selected by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, though he failed to live up to the expectations of a Day 2 pick during his time in the Windy City.

A speedster who clocked in at 4.31 seconds in the forty yard dash at the 2019...

NFL Week 9 betting odds: The Seahawks are road favorites vs. slumping Commanders

NFL Week 9 betting odds: The Seahawks are road favorites vs. slumping Commanders

During the bye week, the Seattle Seahawks took the lead in the NFC West without even playing. To maintain this status, they need another primetime victory, this time on Sunday Night Football against the Washington Commanders on the road. A victory is crucial because the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers are expected to win their games against the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants, respectively.

The Seahawks are currently 3.5-point favorites according to Fanduel SportsBook. This suggests a tight matchup, and these odds may change depending on the status of QB Jayden Daniels. He sat out last...

New metric reveals Seahawks defense even better than assumed

New metric reveals Seahawks defense even better than assumed

You ever try to make eggs in the morning, but left them in the pan for too long? I’d call that a failed scramble.

Aaron Schatz of FTN Fantasy also has some thoughts on this: he’s tracking a new metric called Failed Scrambles; which charts further defensive success, and shows the Seattle Seahawks defense as the elite unit they are.

Failed scrambles are not delicious but they’re really cool because the QB thinks he’s going to save the play and when bam! Brought down for a gain of seven inches. Problem is, that’s not technically a sack for the defense....

Commanders vs. Chiefs live discussion: Can Bobby Wagner and company pull off an upset?

The Seattle Seahawks will play the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football in their first game out of the bye. In the meantime, the 3-4 Commanders have a daunting road game at the Kansas City Chiefs, who are 4-3 but look way better than their record indicates and their offense is looking the best its looked in a good while.

As if the early season struggles weren’t enough, a second injury to quarterback Jayden Daniels means he’s out for the third time this season. Marcus Mariota is the backup—a capable one at that—and he’ll be tasked with trying to pull...

With the Seattle Seahawks sitting at 5-2 and in first place atop the NFC West coming out of the Week 8 bye, the made an announcement Monday afternoon that is almost certain to excite many fans.

Robbie Ouzts, who played tight end in college at Alabama before becoming a fifth round pick of Seattle in the 2025 NFL Draft has been designated to return to practice. He has not played since suffering a high ankle sprain in the dominating 44-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.
