Field Gulls
The Seattle Seahawks are preparing a year’s worth of fun for Emerald City football fans.
On Wednesday, the Seahawks announced a series of dates for a Lombardi Trophy tour, beginning with select dates during training camp throughout July and August. These dates will be open to the public, making for a prime opportunity for all 12s to see the championship trophy up close.
Then, as training camp comes to a close, fans are invited to attend the team’s Football Fest on Saturday, August 8. This will be a ticketed event, providing fans with a chance to watch a Seahawks team practice and collect some autographed footballs.
Once the calendar turns to September, 12s will get to take part in Kickoff Week with chances to see the Lombardi Trophy at the Lumen Field Pro Shop on September 4 and the Party at the Pier the following day. From here on out, Seattle’s second Lombardi will be on display at every Seahawks home game starting three hours before kickoff. Note that fans must have tickets to home games for entry to the tailgates.
But wait, there’s more!
The Lombardi Trophy is going abroad a few times throughout the season, starting with the 49ers-Rams game in Melbourne in Week 1 on September 10. Next on the international tour is a stop in Vancouver during Week 6, where fans in Western Canada will get to see the trophy during a Thursday Night Football watch party as the Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos on October 15.
The third and final international destination will be in Munich in mid-November, ahead of the Patriots-Lions Week 10 contest on November 15. NFL fans in Germany will be able to see the trophy throughout the weekend on both November 14 and 15.
To recap, here is the full list of dates to see Seattle’s championship trophy in person, as provided by the Seahawks team website:
